That's the father of my child! Blooming Beyoncé cheers on Jay-Z as he performs surprise set at the Victoria's Secret Show

They're hardly the average expectant couple, but no-one could accuse Beyoncé and Jay-Z of not supporting each other.

And though the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show might not be the most tempting destination for many pregnant women, the 30-year-old Run The World star looked only too happy to watch last night.

Beyoncé cheered enthusiastically as her husband performed a surprise set during the flamboyant $12 million New York show.

The rapper was called onstage by Kanye West as an unexpected treat for the delighted crowd.

Kanye asked his 'big bro' to come out, prompting Jay to march onstage to perform a duet with his friend from their Watch the Throne album.

Beyonce looked thrilled, dancing along and grinning ear to ear as her man strutted his stuff.

The star wore an elegant white kaftan over her blooming bump, with her hair falling in loose curls over her shoulders.

And the men weren't looking too shabby themselves, with Kanye sporting a Versace for H&M jacket and Jay-Z rocking his usual black hoodie and gold chain.

Kanye had been due to perform at the show in 2007, but backed out due to the sudden death of his mother Donda West.

He took a moment to remember her before launching into his smash hit Stronger, saying: 'In 2007, I was supposed to perform this song...then my mom passed away. She was my superhero—now she's my superangel.'

Though Beyoncé still looks every inch her usual glamorous self, the singer has admitted that pregnancy is having some strange side effects.

'I don't know if you'd call it weird, but I'm having ketchup with everything,' she told Closer magazine recently.

'I mean, I liked it before I was pregnant, but I now literally won't eat anything without it.

'Breakfast, lunch or dinner - I need to have a bottle of ketchup close to hand.'

She hasn't been too shy to splash out in preparation for her baby daughter, and has already spent thousands of dollars converting around 2,200 square feet of her New York apartment into a nursery.

Entertainment at the Victoria's Secret Show was also provided courtesy of RnB star Nicki Minaj, Cee Lo Green,and  Maroon 5.

Since it started 11 years ago, the iconic show's budget has grown considerably - from $120,000 to today's bank-breaking $12m.

A total of 60 costumes were made this year, along with 31 sets of angel wings, worn over the course of the evening by 38 models.

The couple split up in Sunday's episode after Lucy confessed she had spent the night in Mark's flat two months ago while Mario was on holiday in Ibiza.

However, she insisted she didn't remember what happened with ex Mark, who she briefly dated in late 2010, and woke up with her clothes on.

George Michael has slammed British soap EastEnders for their 'pathetic' representation of a gay relationship.

The 48-year-old singer, who came out publicly in 1998, branded the storylines involving characters Syed Masood and Christian Clarke 'insulting' and accused the TV show of scaring children who were struggling to come to terms with their sexuality.

'They are scaring the s*** out of children everywhere for the sake of drama and it doesn't seem to have occurred to them,' he ranted.

'I think that soaps are hugely influential in modern Britain. They should reflect sexuality in just the same terms that they reflect race and integration. Positively. And without stereotypes. In this respect they are failing us all. Spectacularly.'

Michael, who recently split with longtime partner Kenny Goss, unleashed his feelings about EastEnders on his Twitter page yesterday.

In a string of angry, expletive-filled tweets, he wrote: 'It's official. George Michael has had enough of EastEnders. ARE THEY F****** KIDDING!

'Gay people deserve better than the BBC's pathetic attempts to "represent" us.

'Message to gay kids in Britain. The east end of London is one of the best places on earth to be a modern gay man or couple.

'Insulting to the gay community, insulting to the Muslim community and, in the meantime, terrifying every gay child that is struggling to come to terms with their sexuality and the prospect of coming out to their family, whatever their religion.'

Syed Masood, played by actor Marc Elliott, first appeared on screens in 2009.

The soap's storylines have seen him fall in love with Christian Clarke, played by John Partridge, and struggle to come to terms with the fact he is gay.

His difficulties are made even worse due to the pressures of his family and his Muslim faith.

Earlier this year, the BBC came under fire from some viewers, who complained that a scene showing Syed and Christian naked together in bed was inappropriate for the show's pre-watershed slot.

The corporation said it approached the portrayal of gay relationships in 'exactly the same way' as it did heterosexual scenes.

'EastEnders aims to reflect real life and this means including and telling stories about characters from many different backgrounds, faiths, religions and sexualities,' a BBC statement said at the time.
Yesterday, however, Michael criticised the storylines featuring Syed and Christian.

'So far, Christian has been beaten up three times that I can remember and is now accused of child molestation,' he wrote.

'Sayed [sic] has been disowned and is now mistreating his partner shamelessly, presumably because he is now a confused bisexual after all. Total f****** bull****.

'Life in London is a wonderful thing for so many gay and lesbian people these days, and I know that there are gay people involved in the writing of the show but they really need to re-think their approach to gay 'issues'.'

The singer, however, added that his frustrations were not aimed at actors John Partridge and Marc Elliott.

'John Partridge and Marc Elliot [sic] have done brilliantly as actors regardless of the storylines,' he said.

'I hope for their sakes and the sake of gay kids in this country, regardless of their cultural background, that EastEnders gets a clue and begins to acknowledge their responsibility and provides us with gay characters that have no reason to live in fear. We do exist.'

In a 2007 interview with BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, Michael said he had hidden his sexuality in the eighties and nineties to protect his mother from worrying about Aids.

'Aids was the predominant feature of being gay in the 1980s and early 90s as far as any parent was concerned,' he said.

'My mother was still alive and every single day would have been a nightmare for her thinking what I might have been subjected to.'

Actor John Partridge, who plays Christian Clarke, is also openly gay and married his long-time boyfriend Jon Tsouras in a civil partnership last month.
